Pamela is delighted to be attending Burghley Thursday to Saturday and her fans can meet her nose to nose at the NAF Celebrity Talk Area, plus test out the revolutionary new ‘Pat to Donate’ technology which she will be sporting.
Clippy, the inspiration behind World Horse Welfare’s gold-medal winning garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show will be close to cross country fence 24ab, Herbert’s Hollow on Friday and Saturday and can’t wait to meet visitors, along with a life size horse sculpture created from flowers to highlight World Horse Welfare’s transport campaign.
A number of artists and personalities including sculptor, Judy Boyt and artist, Michelle McCullagh, have created 19 stunning designs for the official World Horse Welfare Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials colouring book, a unique piece to entertain children and adults alike – plus visitors to World Horse Welfare’s trade stand D7 can colour in supersize canvas versions of the book’s designs.
Visitors can help World Horse Welfare celebrate its 90th anniversary and take part in 9 for 90 activities at trade stands across the shopping village before heading to the charity’s trade stand to enter a bumper free prize draw. Plus, all of the event’s action can be watched come rain or shine on World Horse Welfare’s live stream TV at the trade stand, as well as finding out all you need to know about rehoming a horse or pony.
On Thursday, visitors can enjoy a parade of six stunning rehomed World Horse Welfare horses and ponies who are the lucky finalists in the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials People’s Choice Rehomed Superstar competition. The public have been voting in their hundreds for the equine they think should be crowned overall winner and the exciting announcement is sure to have everyone on the edge of their seats!
World Horse Welfare Director of Fundraising, Emma Williams said:
“We are delighted to be the first ever official Charity of the Year at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials. It is a fantastic opportunity, particularly as part of our 90th anniversary celebrations, and we have plenty to keep the whole family entertained throughout the four days of the event.
“Our colouring book has had amazing support from the many contributors who have so kindly given beautiful designs and we are so grateful to everyone who has supported our various activities as part of our Charity of the Year partnership. If you are attending Burghley, please do visit our trade stand and be sure to meet our two pony ambassadors – they will be delighted to see you!”
