One area of our campaigning work that has improved horse welfare provision for many millions of horses since we were founded is our influence on legislation. We work in England, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales as well as in Europe to introduce new laws that give horses greater protection, as well as to influence existing laws to make them work harder for vulnerable horses. From 1927 until the current day these campaigning achievements have been brought about as a result of field investigations, research and evidence collection.

• Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/262 laying down rules pursuant to Council Directives 90/427/EEC and 2009/156/EC as regards the methods for the identification of equidae (Equine Passport Regulation)
