Places to visit
World Horse Welfare currently has four Rescue and Rehoming Centres in Britain, from the breathtaking scenery of Royal Deeside in Scotland all the way down to the beautiful rolling hills of Somerset.
These centres are at the heart of World Horse Welfare’s UK welfare strategy of the three Rs - recovery, rehabilitation and rehoming - and between them can house as many as 330 horses at any one time.
Most of the horses coming into these centres will have been neglected or abused; others will have been left to us as part of a legacy.
All horses undergo a thorough check by an experienced team of trained equine professionals, and a long-term action plan is then agreed. It can take months of hard work before they are ready to go out on loan.

Rehome a Horse
When they are ready we rehome our horses. We take a lot of time and care to make sure the potential rehomer and horse are the perfect match before the horse goes to its new home. If you are interested in rehoming a World Horse Welfare horse, please visit our Rehoming Pages.
Volunteering
If you want to volunteer at one of our centres, please please visit our check out our Volunteering page to find out what we can offer and how you can get involved.
