CENTRE PROMOTIONS OFFICER - full-time

 

Belwade Farm, Aboyne, Aberdeenshire

  

An exciting new development of our facilities now requires us to recruit a full-time Centre Promotions Officer to join the Belwade Farm team to lead the plans for our new Visitor Centre attraction.

 

The main aims of the role are to promote the work of the charity; ensure an increasing number of visitors to the Centre have an enjoyable and informative visit; to coordinate all fundraising activities and assist with the planning and organisation of events and corporate activities. You will also be responsible for the recruitment, induction, training and supervision of a group of Visitor Centre volunteers who will be capable of undertaking a variety of tasks.

 

The successful candidate will be highly organised, personable and approachable, with the ability to deal with people at all levels from children to equine professionals.  You will possess fundraising and event management experience alongside experience of managing and working within a budget.  You will also have excellent oral and written communication skills.  Basic equine knowledge and experience of working within the catering or hospitality industry would be advantageous.

 

 

Salary is dependent on experience.

CATERING OFFICER - part time

 

Belwade Farm, Aboyne, Aberdeenshire

  

 

Due to recent expansion we are seeking to recruit a part time Catering Officer to join the Belwade Farm team and help lead the way with our new Visitor Centre attraction. 

 

The main aim of the role is to ensure visitors' expectations are met when using the Café within the Visitor Centre by providing excellent hospitality. The role is responsible for preparing and serving an agreed range of food and beverages to visitors, ensuring that all service standards are consistently high. Planning and preparation are vital for this role to ensure profitability for the operation.

 

The successful candidate will hold the basic food and hygiene certificate and have a proven track record of a responsible position preparing and serving fresh food within a restaurant or café environment.  You will also have relevant customer services experience.  You need to have operational knowledge of till systems and cash handling alongside good people skills that extend to dealing with customer complaints in a calm and professional manner. Experience of working within the hospitality or events environment would be advantageous, as would other relevant catering qualifications.

 

 

Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.

 

 

Working hours: 35 hours per week across 5 days including weekends.
