Working through pain, starvation and exhaustion
Life for working horses in Honduras is a daily struggle against injury, malnutrition and the effects of poverty. We are working with horse owners to help them learn and develop the best methods of caring for these animals that are vital to their livelihoods.

Since World Horse Welfare began working in Honduras in 2010 thousands of horses have benefited from the care and guidance provided by our farriers, saddlers and advisors. Local people have been trained to make fitted tack, to care for their horse’s feet and through educational demonstrations, local schoolchildren understand how and why it is important to look after working horses.
Your gift is so important – we simply could not make the commitment to the working horses of Honduras without your support.
