Fairy Dust: the story behind the sculpture

Fairy Dust came into our care as part of a large group of horses whose owner could no longer care for them. She thrived in the care of our Glenda Spooner Farm team and was successfully rehomed as a project ride or drive pony. Fairy Dust's beautiful mythical design is inspired by her name.

Fairy Dust's design

The artist: Gabriella Shaw

Gabriella set up her ceramics studio in 1991 in response to increasing demand from friends and family for the work that she was producing in her spare time on her kitchen table. From the beginning she was passionate about creating individual pieces; interpreting the ideas of her clients to create beautiful items that would preserve a memory, commemorate an event or simply be a pleasure to look at and use.
