Education and advice

hands onAt World Horse Welfare we want to help horse owners, both in the UK and overseas, improve the care they give by providing them with the information they need to make the right decisions for their horse.

We know that there is a great deal of passion and respect for the horse, and we want to channel this so we can leave a lasting impact on communities and improve horse welfare by informing and training those who own or look after horses. Whether in the UK or overseas, we aim to deliver sustainable solutions so that horses and their owners benefit in the long term. This has been our approach since the charity was founded in 1927.

By campaigning, we will help millions of horses in the UK, Europe and beyond.  By informing decision-makers about numerous horse welfare issues we can have maximum impact on the greatest number of horses, ponies and donkeys. Of course, we couldn't do any of that without you so please take action now.

Our UK initiatives, like our Right Weight and Just in Case projects, help people to understand some of the most challenging needs of their horses and improve the day-to-day management they provide.

World Horse Welfare releases a great deal of valuable material each and every year. From scientific research to press releases, advice on horse husbandry or our latest videos, our virtual shelves are bulging with information.  Whether you're a supporter catching up on the charity's latest news and events, a horse owner seeking guidance from our Advice Library or a member of the press researching an article, our website is the place to come.
