Our commitment

Our Commitment

Our promise to you, as every gift in a Will enables us to ensure the future of the horses you love.

Our promise to you, as every gift in a Will enables us to ensure the future of the horses you love.

Founded in 1927 by Ada Cole, World Horse Welfare started as a campaigning organisation to prevent the suffering of horses destined for slaughter. We continue to work tirelessly to improve the lives of horses in the UK and across the globe through education, campaigning and hands-on care. Our work covers the full spectrum of the horse world from rescuing and rehabilitating in the UK, to advising equine authorities on welfare matters, to developing sustainable projects helping working horses overseas.

We are committed to continuing our work to achieve a world where every horse is treated with respect, compassion and understanding. A legacy gift to World Horse Welfare is a gift to the horses you love and a promise for their future.

Our Commitment to you

  • We will handle your gift sensitively and professionally with the care and respect you would expect.
  • We would like to thank you if you choose to leave us a gift in your Will. We also understand that your Will may be a personal and private matter. Unless you choose to leave your horse to us in your Will, please do not feel obliged to notify us of any gift left to us in your Will.
  • You can trust us to spend your heartfelt gift wisely, using the funds where they are needed most to improve the lives of horses in the UK and around the world.
  • You can express a preference as to where your gift is spent, please contact us for more information.
