Your legacy

Why include us in your will?

You can support World Horse Welfare in so many ways but donations in the form of legacies, or donations in memory of loved ones, are some of the most personal and heartfelt we receive. Gifts in Wills, no matter how large or small, have a substantial and lasting impact on the work we continue to do for horses. Wherever there are horses in need, a legacy can give each one of them a second chance to lead a full and happy life.

If after making provision for your loved ones you would like to leave a gift in your Will, our free Legacy Pack will provide you with the information you need to pledge your legacy to horses. Legacies make up more than half of our annual income, and it is with these vital funds we are able to help more horses in the UK and around the world.

“My late mother was a very fond supporter of your charity; we would often have conversations around a dining room table and jokingly tease her about why she was so fond of horses as she was, in fact, a little bit scared of them. I know she loved the good work done by your charity.”

Karl Lovatt (son of Jean Lovatt)

"I want to say thank you for the wonderful work that you do. Your work is special to me because of my father’s part in the 19th Hussars in the First World War-  I used to hear him speaking to old friends he met again, and they said of course they cried for their friends who were killed, but also for those poor horses. So I honour my dad and the horses as well by leaving something to World Horse Welfare in my Will."

Mrs Joan Valerie Newman

"I’m not a millionaire but I do everything that I can to help this charity because World Horse Welfare does a great job rescuing horses from horrific conditions in the UK, but also reaches so many other horses overseas."

Susan Jamieson
