Meet Eenie

Eenie is a pretty little pony with a very sweet nature. She is an inquisitive girl who is willing to learn and she is very good to handle in all ways. She is still quite young so regular handling with consistent boundaries will help maintain her understanding. Eenie is a sociable pony who gets on with others in her herd although she does like to be in charge. She will be better suited to another who is happy to allow her to do so but is not too timid. Like so many of her type, Eenie does pile on the pounds easily so it is essential she has restricted grazing and her weight is monitored. Ideally she needs to share with others with similar dietary requirements.

Important stuff

This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.

Eenie can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Eenie is not suitable to be worked.

History

Eenie came into our care in 2020 as part of an RSPCA prosecution case. She has previous been rehomed and was recently returned from loan as her companion was very timid and Eenie proved to be a bit too much for her.
