Meet Tequila

Tequila is a pretty pony with a happy, friendly personality. She is a polite girl who is well mannered and easy to handle. She does require clear and consistent instructions from her handler so she knows what is expected of her. Tequila enjoys human interaction and likes to be groomed and fussed. She is a curious and bright pony who will respect electric fencing if the power source is good, but she is not above trying her luck if she thinks the charge is running low. Tequila is a loyal friend who can get anxious with change. She is best suited to a small group where the herd dynamic is unlikely to change. For example, if she was in a group of 3 and one is taken away to ride, Tequila will be anxious until their return even if the third horse remains.

Important stuff

Tequila can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Tequila is not suitable to be worked.

History

Tequila was born at Hall Farm in March 2014. Her heavily pregnant mother formed part of a large intake of equines from an animal hoarding situation. She had been successfully rehomed since 2015 and only recently returned.
