Meet Amica

Amica is a lovely, affectionate little pony who will follow you around like a dog. Amica loves cuddles and human attention and is always happy to see you. She is proving to be an intelligent pony and a very quick learner. Amica has a submissive nature and is not happy being left alone as she tends to rely on others for security. Unfortunately Amica will never be suitable to ride but she has such a beautiful temperament she will provide a valuable role as a non-ridden companion to others. Ideally we are looking for a rehomer with past experience of young ponies who can provide Amica with the necessary guidance whilst continuing her education. Amica's mother is 12.3hh and she is expected to reach a similar height when fully mature.
Important stuff
This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.
Amica can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Amica is not suitable to be worked.
History
Amica was born at Hall Farm in May 2023 after her pregnant mother came in as part of a prosecution case.
