Heyday
Meet Heyday
Heyday was one of a group of 26 horses callously crammed into a lorry to be illegally smuggled out of the UK. Only she knows what happened in her past to get her to that awful situation, and it is particularly sad when you see what a sweet natured mare she is. Although quite sensitive, Heyday is a fairly calm, inquisitive pony who has been easy to handle. Despite a little wary at first, Heyday appears to really enjoy human contact when she gets to know you. Heyday is not suitable to ride but she could make a lovely non-ridden companion who will bring a lot of joy to her new home.
Important stuff
Heyday can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Heyday is not suitable to be worked.
History
Heyday was one of 26 horses crammed into a lorry to be cruelly and illegally smuggled out of the UK. All the evidence suggests they were being sent for slaughter to Europe.
