Meet Joker

Joker was one of 26 equines cruelly crammed into a lorry to be illegally exported from the UK. They were most likely destined for a slaughter house in Europe. Joker was barely 6 months old and completely unhandled on arrival at Hall Farm. Since being at the farm he has shown to have a laid back attitude and inquisitive nature. Joker requires an understanding home with past experience of handling youngsters to help him grow in confidence and continue his education. Joker is good to handle for his age and is proving to be a typically curious young chap. Joker is a sweet natured boy who mixes well in his herd. Joker may have the potential to be backed in the future if his rehomer has previous experience of this. This will also depend on how he develops and not before he is at least 5 years old. Joker's adult height could be approximately 14.3hh but this is only an estimate as we have no knowledge of his breeding. This expected height will give him a maximum rider limit of 9.5 to 10 stones. We are equally happy for Joker to find a home as a permanent non-ridden companion only, a role he will excel at.

Important stuff

This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.

Joker could be worked in the future.
