Meet Atlas

Atlas arrived at Hall Farm with a group of completely unhandled ponies. He soon got used to human interaction and he has come on leaps and bounds since his arrival. He is generally good to handle for his age and we are looking for an experienced rehomer to continue his education and increase his confidence. Atlas is a friendly, happy soul who mixes well with mares and geldings. Atlas may have the potential to be backed when he is older if his rehomer has previous experience of producing ponies to be ridden. This also depends on how he matures and not before he is 5 years old. Atlas could reach anything between 13.2hh to 14.0hh. Although this is very much an estimate as we have no knowledge of his sire, Atlas is more likely to be nearer the smaller size. He will have a maximum rider weight limit of 8.5 to 9 stone.

Important stuff

This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.

Atlas could be worked in the future.
