Meet Poker (Cookie)

Big man Cookie is now looking for his new home as a non-ridden companion, due to intermittent lameness when in work. Cookie enjoys coming in for a good pamper session and spending time in the field with his friends. He is a very laid back lad who gets on well with all of his friends, both mares and geldings, but will stand up for himself if needed. As he gets on so well with his friends he does not like to be left alone. He is very good for the vet and stands well for the farrier. He can gain weight easily in the summer months and will hold well in the winter months if on a hay and rugged, so he will be looking for friends with similar needs. Important stuff

Poker (Cookie) can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Poker (Cookie) is not suitable to be worked.

History

Cookie came in as part of a welfare case along side 2 other horses. They were all underweight and needing their feet tended to.
