Meet Highsee

Furball Highsee is now looking for her new home as a non-ridden companion. Highsee originally came into farm unhandled, back in 2016 as part of a welfare case. Highsee was very nervous, and it took time for her groom to gain her trust and build her confidence. Once over her fears Highsee came on leaps and bound and has since been out to a home as a project pony. Though coming on more in her confidence, Highsee did not take well to being introduced to work and it was decided she would be most comfortable and settled living as a companion. Highsee is good to catch, once she has settled into her new environment and she enjoys coming in for a pamper. Highsee is well behaved for the farrier, but can be nervous of the vet, so is looking for a competent handler who can carry on building her confidence with the vet, as she takes a lot of her confidence from her handlers. Highsee is also currently going through weight loss and going for daily walks around the farm and is thoroughly enjoying it, so she will be looking to continue her weight loss out at her new home. As she does gain weight easily, she will be looking for friends who are also on restricted grazing or a weight loss program. Highsee can be stabled for short periods of time whilst her friends are being ridden, she can just be a little vocal. If you think that Highsee sounds like the mare for you, please apply online.

Important stuff

Highsee can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Highsee is not suitable to be worked.

History

Highsee came into World Horse Welfare as part of a group of unhandled horses.
