Through our work with the International Coalition for Working Equids (ICWE), we’re helping demonstrate the important connection between the welfare of working horses, donkeys and mules and the wellbeing of the 600 million people who rely on them.
An estimated 112 million working equids support livelihoods around the world by carrying water, transporting goods and helping communities access essential services. By improving their welfare, we can help create stronger livelihoods, healthier communities and support progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
