Things to do at Belwade Farm

Meet the horses

Belwade Farm is home to around 65 horses at any given time, and our staff are on hand to provide brief histories and information about the progress these horses are making.

Have a bite to eat in our Bistro

Wonderful, fresh food made to order by our superb chef who has over 20 years experience. Relax with a tasty meal enjoying the stunning views of Deeside from our decking.

The Bistro is open 11:00am to 4:00pm but can get very busy so we recommend booking your table prior to your visit – email bfevents@worldhorsewelfare.org.

Enjoy a farm walk

Our popular nature walks will take you through beautiful woodland and along the River Dee as it travels through Aberdeenshire. From some high points you can see Lochnagar in the distance on a clear day.

Take a walk around the lake or stroll around our paddock trail where you can meet some of the ponies.
