Meet Roo

Roo is ready to find a home as a non ridden companion. She is a lovely little mare, who is good to catch, handle, groom, bath and for the vet and farrier. The only thing she isn't overly fond of is needles. Roo is a friendly pony, who loves lots of fuss and attention. She will stand all day to be groomed with a haynet. She gets on very well with others, but does liker her space in the field and tends to be higher up in the herd dynamic. She is better suited to living with mares only. Roo will happily go out for in-hand walks as she loves exploring. She needs her weight watching and is best suited to a home where there are ponies of similar needs. She also needs a home where she will have the company of another equine at all times as she doesn't like being left on her own. If you are interested in rehoming her, please apply online.

Important stuff

Roo can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Roo is not suitable to be worked.

History

Roo was born at Penny Farm on 30th April 2013 after her mum came in as part of a large welfare case.
