Meet Kara

Lovely Kara is an attractive arab mare who is looking for a new home to live out her golden years as a non-ridden companion. She is a sweet older lady who enjoys the laid-back lifestyle with likeminded friends. She is good to catch and lead and stands well for short periods of time for a groom. She is well behaved for the vet, farrier and dentist, but has had 3 teeth removed, so she will need her teeth done every 6 months. Kara does not like to be stabled and prefers to live out 24/7. She will need a rug on during the cold/wet months and if needs be, a little feed to help her with her weight. Kara is looking for a home with mares or geldings, who can take more grazing all year round and who would not be taken out without her, as she does suffer with separation anxiety. Important stuff

Kara can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Kara is not suitable to be worked.

History

Kara came into the farm back in 2012 as part of a welfare concern alongside one other horse.
