Meet Wren

Wren is a cute little pony with a beautiful temperament. She has a friendly nature with both humans and equines and always loves to know what is going on. Despite her young age Wren is generally good to handle and with continued education and a regular routine this will continue to improve as she matures. Wren may have the potential to be backed to ride in the future, if her rehomer has previous experience of this, although it will depend very much on how she develops as she matures, and not until she is at least 5 years old. Wren may reach 13.2hh when fully grown although this is very much an estimate as we don't have any information on her breeding. At this height, Wren would have a maximum rider weight limit of 7.5 to 8 stones. We would be equally happy for Wren to remain as a non-ridden companion, a role which we think she would excel at.
Important stuff
This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.
Wren could be worked in the future.
History
Wren came into our care as part of a herd of 13 neglected horses, known as the 'Harefield Horses', who were rescued by World Horse Welfare with the help of local authorities and other welfare charities. You can find out more about their story through the video lower down this page.
