Victor took part in our project’s saddlery training sessions and now has his own successful saddlery workshop.

Victor is 21 year old, he was born with a disability which makes it difficult for him to walk and hinders him from working with other 7 siblings on the family farm. Although his family couldn’t afford for him to go to school, his sisters have taught him to read and write.

How has our project helped?

With his eagerness to learn Victor was selected to take part in our project’s saddlery training sessions in his home community Las Lomas.

With the support of World Horse Welfare’s revolving fund scheme Victor bought the necessary equipment and secured a good site to set up La Bendecida- his workshop.

La Bendecida is now recognized in the community as the place to go to purchase good quality and reasonably priced head collars and saddlery equipment. Victor normally has 8 customers a day. He is sustainably providing for his local community, improving horse welfare and is now able to contribute to his family’s income.
