Spike
Meet Spike
Spike is a cheeky character who is looking for a non ridden companion home. He is good to handle and enjoys a groom but does need to have consistency, with correct handling. Due to his young age, he is still learning about life and can be a little unsure at times. He is not used to being around children so would suit an adult home where he can live with small ponies to bond with and very importantly, be on restricted grazing management. This could include a track system or loafing area to help manage his weight. As Spike is so small he will need appropriate fencing as he can get under things very easily!!! He is happy to be stabled part time so long as he can see out and could be left on his own for short periods.
Important stuff
Spike can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Spike is not suitable to be worked.
History
Spike was brought in to our care in September 2023 as a young colt, as a welfare concern, with another pony
