Freddo is a gentle pony looking for a quiet non ridden home. When he first arrived, he had not had any handling so, time has been taken over many months to build up a bond with his groom and to trust. He has learnt about all the basic tasks such as leading in from the field, standing quietly in a stable for short periods, being groomed and meeting our vet and farrier for routine visits. The ideal home for Freddo would be a quiet yard with one person who can give him time to settle in and build a new bond. He is a really sweet natured pony and loves company in the field. He would require restricted grazing so would suit a home with ponies on the same management.

Important stuff

Freddo can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Freddo is not suitable to be worked.

History

Freddo came in as part of a large welfare group in March of 2022, many were underweight, had skin conditions and were unhandled.
