Meet Pixie (Thumbelina)

Little mare Thumbelina is looking for her new home as a companion. Thumbelina is a very busy little mare who just loves to be involved in everything, she always comes over to investigate anything new in her field. She is good to handle but would thrive with a rehomer who is happy to give her lots of confidence as she is still learning how to stand calmly in new environments and manage her busy brain. Thumbelina would prefer to live out as much as possible but could learn to stable part time in a quiet environment. She would suit a home with ponies of a similar size for socialisation and restricted grazing and could learn to go for gentle walks in hand.

Important stuff

Pixie (Thumbelina) can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Pixie (Thumbelina) is not suitable to be worked.

History

Thumbelina came into the centre as part of a case for owner support. Thumbelina was good to handle but needed remedial farriery.
