Meet Toby

After being much loved in a home for many years handsome gelding Toby is now looking for a new home as a non-ridden companion. 30 years young Toby is very good to handle and likes a nice quiet routine. The ideal companion for Toby would be a quiet gelding that he can live with in his twilight years. He may need a turn out rug in winter if the weather is very wet and cold. Toby loves a bit of pampering so if he could have a little of this daily, this would be the perfect home for him.

Important stuff

Toby can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Toby is not suitable to be worked.

History

Toby originally came in to the care of World Horse Welfare in 2011, as part of a welfare case. He was in poor condition with severe thrush in his hooves due to being constantly stabled on filthy bedding. He was rehabilitated and successfully rehomed for many years as a ridden horse.
