Meet Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus is looking for a home as a non ridden companion. She is a lovely little mare, who is incredibly friendly and easy going. She is very good to catch, handle, groom, bath and for the vet and farrier. Hocus has had laminitis in the past and so needs a home where she can have her grass intake monitored and restricted as required. She is currently living out on our track system and given supplementary straw and soaked hay. She gets on very well with others and will happily mix with mares and geldings. She will stay on her own in a stable while another pony is taken out, but this would need to be introduced gradually. If you can offer Hocus Pocus a home, please apply online.

Important stuff

Hocus Pocus can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Hocus Pocus is not suitable to be worked.

History

Hocus Pocus came into Penny Farm as part of a large welfare case. The group were being kept in unsuitable conditions with limited access to forage and water.
