Meet Pumlon Garcy

Garcy is ready to find her new home as a non-ridden companion. Lovely mare Garcy has been much loved in a home, recently returning to the centre through no fault of her own. Sweet and affectionate, Garcy is good to handle and has previously lived with both mares and geldings. The perfect home for Garcy would be one where she can live on restricted grazing with other horses on the same management. In the right environment Garcy may learn to be left alone for short periods of time but this would need to be introduced gradually. Garcy has mild sweet itch which is easily managed with a fly sheet, soothing creams and baths as needed.

Important stuff

Pumlon Garcy can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Pumlon Garcy is not suitable to be worked.

History

Garcy came to Glenda Spooner Farm in October 2013 with a group of Welsh mares and geldings. They were all unhandled but had sweet natures so it didn't take long to gain their trust and then we were able to start their rehabilitation. Garcy has been out in a home for several years and returned to us in December 2021 due to a change of circumstances for her rehomer.
