The Ada Cole Society has been developed to celebrate the life and achievements of our hugely inspirational founder to fund our work across the full spectrum of the horse world to improve welfare and the horse-human partnership through care, research, education and influence.
Ada Cole was a fearless pioneer against cruelty to animals and a relentless campaigner who founded the charity in 1927. She gave horses a voice to challenge the brutality of their treatment and her concerns around humankind’s fair treatment of horses remain central issues. Her values and pragmatic approach still beat at the heart of the charity, directing our work to improve the lives of all horses no matter what role they play in society.
