" This age of disposable things should not apply to animals. If anyone can take a horse, or knows someone who can, please consider rehoming a horse from World Horse Welfare. "

Welcome to Rehome a Horse

The following horses and ponies are a selection of those available for rehoming.

If there is nothing suitable at the time of your search you would be very welcome to contact us directly on 01953 497238 or by calling or visiting one of our Rescue and Rehoming Centres.

You are also welcome to monitor this site, which is updated every Wednesday afternoon – however, for a variety of reasons not all horses will be listed on the website prior to rehoming, although the majority will be.

If you find a suitable horse on this site, please submit an online application which will go directly to the relevant Rescue and Rehoming Centre for consideration.

Please note that in situations where we have numerous potentially suitable applications for the same horse, we may give priority to those applications which were received soonest.

For more information on how our rehoming scheme works, please follow the links on the left-hand menu. - See more here.

Rehoming information last updated 16th April 2014

Horse of the Week: Spider

Spider is a very smart 12.1hh 6 year old gelding who is ready for rehoming as a project pony. Earlier this year Spider started his ground schooling; he is now lunging well in walk and trot wearing a saddle pad and bridle. His canter is coming on nicely but is still a little unbalanced. He is also a pro at pole work and working on a gradient to strengthen his core muscles. Spider will make a fantastic Lead Rein or Second Pony; he is inquisitive yet sensible in his approach to work and learns very quickly. When Spider came to Glenda Spooner Farm in April 2013 he was a very timid, quiet colt, underweight and unsure of people. Over the last year, after being castrated, Spider's confidence has grown massively, uncovering a real character who would thrive in a family home environment. If you have the experience and time to bring Spider on through his education, we would love to hear from you.
