" This age of disposable things should not apply to animals. If anyone can take a horse, or knows someone who can, please consider rehoming a horse from World Horse Welfare. "

Welcome to Rehome a Horse

The following horses and ponies are a selection of those available for rehoming.

If there is nothing suitable at the time of your search you would be very welcome to contact us directly on 01953 497238 or by calling or visiting one of our Rescue and Rehoming Centres.

You are also welcome to monitor this site, which is updated every Wednesday afternoon – however, for a variety of reasons not all horses will be listed on the website prior to rehoming, although the majority will be.

If you find a suitable horse on this site, please submit an online application which will go directly to the relevant Rescue and Rehoming Centre for consideration.

Please note that in situations where we have numerous potentially suitable applications for the same horse, we may give priority to those applications which were received soonest.

For more information on how our rehoming scheme works, please follow the links on the left-hand menu. - See more here.

Horse of the Week: Drifter

Drifter is a lovely young mare with a very sweet temperament. She is quite a sensitive girl but she is so honest and genuine she is normally well behaved with a quiet, sympathetic handler. In the right home Drifter could be broken in to ride and she has the potential to make a lovely ridden pony for an experienced rider. Drifter came with a large group of horses and although she is 5 years old she had received virtually no handling, so her experience is far more limited than most her age. For this reason we are looking for a rehomer with a proven track record of breaking in horses and who has the time and experience to give this young lady the education she has lacked in the past. However, Drifter is so willing and kind she learns quickly and tries hard. Drifter will have a maximum rider weight of 9 stones.
