Ready to earn your rosettes?
Now you’re part of the Stable Squad, you’re also part of the World Horse Welfare family! That means you can help us create a world where all horses are treated with respect, compassion and understanding.
Ready to earn your rosettes?
- Earning your rosettes is a fun way to learn loads of important things about horse welfare. As you explore, you’ll pick up fun hints and tips about keeping horses happy and healthy.
- You can earn your own rosette badges by trying fun activities that help you learn about respecting, showing compassion for, and understanding horses - and by helping spread our mission to as many people as you can.
Ready? See below for what you need to know about each Rosette Badge
Respect rosette
Earn your Respect Rosette by showing how you’ve helped create a happy, healthy environment for horses and wildlife. Examples include:
- Planting trees and wildflowers safe for horses (see our free Poisonous Plant Guide).
- Starting recycling or green initiatives at school or in your community.
- Participating in environmental clean-ups.
- Sharing letters, stories, poems, pictures, or ideas for Stable Squad magazine to promote horse welfare and our charity’s work.
Understanding rosette
To earn your Understanding Rosette you can take our online quiz – but don’t worry, this isn’t like a school test! It will ask you about World Horse Welfare’s mission, what we care about, the 3Fs and the 5 Domains of animal welfare. In other words, how we can make sure horses are happy and healthy.
Though you need to achieve a knowledge score to show you understand horse welfare, you can take the quiz as many times as it takes to get there.
Compassion rosette
Earn your Compassion Rosette by promoting kindness and inclusivity for horses and people. Examples include:
- Giving presentations about horse welfare at school or community clubs.
- Organising events or challenges to raise money for World Horse Welfare.
- Earning relevant badges by supporting horse welfare.
- Learning about working horses abroad and sharing your knowledge.
- Running campaigns, projects, or creating posters/cards to encourage compassion for horses and the environment.
How to claim your rosette badges
- Complete your activity
- Record it as you do it or when you have finished
