Meet Charlie

Charlie is a sweet little boy with a nice temperament. He is generally good natured and polite to handle. Charlie forms a close bond with his companions and likes to keep them nearby, so he is not happy to be left on his own. Charlie suffers from mild sweetitch on the top of his neck and the top of his tail. This is currently washed once a week with medicated shampoo and Kill Itch applied. This will need to be maintained in his new home to keep him comfortable, but Charlie happily accepts this treatment and enjoys the extra attention! Charlie makes a lovely little non-ridden companion.
Important stuff
This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.
Charlie can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Charlie is not suitable to be worked.
History
Charlie came into Hall Farm in November 2020 with four other ponies. He was recently returned from loan following a change in circumstances of his rehomer.
