Tosh
Meet Tosh
Tosh is now a happy, cheeky chap who loves fuss and attention. This has been quite a transformation from the unhappy young man of a few months ago who would pin his ears back, bolt and wouldn't think twice about kicking out. It appears he was just never taught the boundaries as he is actually quite a sensitive character who takes confidence from his handler. Given time, clear boundaries and a regular routine, Tosh has the potential to develop into a loving little boy full of character. However he will require a competent rehomer to ensure this behaviour doesn't reoccur. Ideally it will be a person with previous experience of caring for donkeys or mules. Tosh is overly interested in mares, even those in the next field, so he really needs a geldings only home to keep him out of mischief.
Important stuff
Tosh can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Tosh is not suitable to be worked.
History
Tosh came into us due to concerns for his welfare. His feet were very overgrown as his owner was struggling to catch and handle him.
