Red Rock Abby
Meet Red Rock Abby
Abby is now ready to find a new home as a companion. She arrived back in the summer of 2022 along with two other highlands. When Abby first arrived she was not as brave as her friends and her feet were quite long and flat, which she found quite uncomfortable to walk on. Due to this she became quite nervous getting her feet done which made her unsure of the farrier. With work from her groom and farrier we are now able to do her feet un-sedated, but she does need a lick or some snacks to keep her mind at ease. Though nervous of the farrier Abby is very well behaved for the vet and her groom and enjoys having a snooze in the sun in one of the pens. Abby can at times be difficult to catch when unsettled, but with some time and tasty snacks she will come around. Abby is to be rehomed as a non ridden companion as she has never been backed and is now in her late teens. Due to her age and breeding Abby will need her weight monitored appropriately through the summer and winter months. Abby likes to keep herself to herself and will happily stay inside with some food on her own, whilst her friends are out. We feel because of this she would be best suited to a quiet yard with some horses around her age. If you think Abby would be a good fit for your herd, please apply online.
