Ollie
Meet Ollie
Ollie is a cheeky Welsh pony and has the most amazing baby blue eyes. He is a very striking cream colour but is currently embracing the winter weather and will roll in as much mud as possible to give his groom some extra work when it comes to brushing him. Ollie came in as part of a welfare case and was very nervous and entire on arrival. He was gelded at Belwade Farm and has come on brilliantly well with lots of quiet handling from his groom. Ollie began groundwork but proved to be too sharp to be a child’s lead rein pony so is strictly a non-ridden companion. Ollie is a much more confident pony and makes a strong bond with his handler, he would thrive in a nice quiet home where he gets lots of attention. It may take him a little time to settle and will need some feed to catch until he gets to know his new handler. He is a very playful pony in the field and is always causing havoc with his friends. Ollie is naturally quite dominant from being gelded later in life so may clash with other bossy ponies and is not suitable to live with mares. He is always full of fun, and his groom adores him so he will make a much-loved companion pony. Ollie is a good doer and will need his grazing restricted and weight closely monitored out on loan. He must wear a fly mask with UV protection in the summer as the skin around his eyes is susceptible to burning easily. If you think that Ollie sounds like the right fit for you, we would love to hear from you.
