Dusty
Meet Dusty
Dusty is a typical old school pony club pony who has been there, done it and worn the t-shirt. He is now an older boy and is happily enjoying his retirement although he certainly does not look or act his age. Dusty is often seen galloping in the fields and is as playful and full of energy as a lot of the youngsters. He is very spritely pony and always up to mischief so even though he is in his golden years he still needs his manners kept in check. He will be a cheeky chap if he is let away with too much so will need a competent handler. Dusty is a favourite at Belwade Farm and never fails to make the grooms smile, he would make a lovely addition to someone’s herd as a much-loved companion. Dusty is good for all his handling but certainly knows his own mind and is quite forward going to lead. He is great for the farrier but quite opinionated on vet days if he is due a vaccination so will need a handler that is confident. Dusty is an adorable boy and loves coming in for a pamper; he simply adores attention so would make a great family pony. He suffers from mild COPD so is best suited to living out 24/7 and would need to be fed haylage or soaked hay over the winter months to maintain his condition. Dusty enjoys living out with his friends in the field and is very sociable; he may need a turnout rug in the winter in very wet weather. He will happily mix with mares or geldings and does not need his grazing heavily restricted but will need his weight monitored through the summer. It is never boring with this little firecracker of a pony around; if he sounds right for you, please apply online.
