Meet Midnight

Midnight is a gentle giant and a real "softie" She is an affectionate mare who loves fuss and attention and is very good to handle in all ways. Although Midnight is a polite mare, she does have the odd burst of baby behaviour, but this is more youthful exuberance that she will grow out of as she gains more experience. Due to her light colouring, Midnight benefits from a fly mask with a nose cover to protect her from the summer sun or to be stabled during the day in intense heat. Midnight enjoys the company of her friends in the herd and usually keeps well away from any squabbles. Although not suitable to ever be ridden, Midnight is such a lovely mare who will make an excellent field companion to others.
Important stuff
This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.
Midnight can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Midnight is not suitable to be worked.
History
Midnight was born at Hall Farm after her pregnant mother arrived as a signed over welfare concern.
