Meet Harry

Cute little Harry is now looking for his new home as a non-ridden companion. Little Harry came in as a stallion and has since been gelded and has come on leaps with his confidence. He is really good to handle in all ways and is very affectionate, if he is ever unsure of something he responds well to positive rewards and is quite a quick learner. Harry is happy to lead away from his friends now and settles well in a stable as long as he has some snacks. He has not been left alone in a field yet, but we feel if introduced gradually and given some snacks, he would be fine. Harry was a little underweight when he arrived but he has since gained some weight, so like most shetlands he will need his grazing monitored especially during the summer months. He has been in with other geldings and though interested in them, his stallion behaviours are lessening day by day as his hormones continue to drop. He is also good to load and has been good for vet and farrier. If you think that Harry sounds like the one for you, please apply online.
Important stuff
Harry can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Harry is not suitable to be worked.
History
Harry came into our care this year, alongside two other stallion shetlands, after we were contacted for help.
