Meet Shila

Shila is ready to rehome as a pleasure riding horse. She was backed earlier this year and is still green, so we are looking for an experienced, competent rider who can continue her education. She is currently working in an arena in walk, trot, canter, and has popped over a few small jumps. She hacks around our farm tracks and does prefer company, but will hack on her own, she just needs a confident rider to reassure her to help increase her confidence. She has been out to our local bridleway and was very well behaved. She gets on well with others, and can become attached so would be better living with 3+ horses. Shila does not like being stabled, and so needs a home where she will be turned out 24/7 all year round, or have access to open stables/barn area attached to turnout areas, if all year round grazing isn't available through winter. She is good to handle, groom, bath and for the vet and farrier. Shila needs her weight watching through the spring/summer months, so would be best suited to living with equines of similar needs. She doesn't like being left on her own so will also need company at all times when turned out. Shila has a maximum rider weight limit of 11 stone. If you can offer Shila a home, please apply online.

Shila came into Penny Farm with two other horses as their owner was no longer able to provide the care they needed.
