Meet Megan

Megan is a nervous little mare until she gets to know and trust you. She then lets her sweet nature shine through and enjoys a good groom and general pampering. Megan would really blossom in a one to one relationship with a quiet, kind handler. She isn't really keen on being stabled and much prefers living out with shelter, but this helps to keep her supple and makes her an easy pony to care for. Although a little wary to catch at times, she is easily tempted with a little treat. Megan gets on well with most in her herd as she is not interested in conflict. This kind old girl is hoping to find a forever home to share her retirement with like minded souls
Important stuff
This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.
Megan can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Megan is not suitable to be worked.
History
Megan came into our care as a signed over welfare concern
