Meet Alvin

Alvin is ready to find a new home as a non ridden companion. He is a lovely little pony, with a bold character. He is good to catch, handle, groom, bath, and for the vet and farrier. He was gelded late, so can only be turned out with and next to geldings, and tends to be higher up in the pecking order in the herd, so would be better suited to living with other equines who are happy to let him be in charge. Alvin requires 6 monthly dentals due to having two teeth removed. He will stay on his own in a stable while another horse is taken out, but this would need to be introduced gradually. If you can offer Alvin a home, please apply online.

Important stuff

Alvin can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Alvin is not suitable to be worked.

History

Alvin came into Penny Farm after he was transferred from another charity.
