Meet Sadie

Sadie, known as Edna at Penny Farm, is ready to rehome as a youngster for handling with the potential to be backed to ride when she reaches 4 years old or older. Edna requires a very experienced and knowledgeable home, with a confident handler. She came into Penny Farm with limited handling and her groom has worked hard to gain her trust and increase her confidence. She has come on immensely in her time with us, but when she moves to a new home, she is going to need time to adjust and relax into her new surroundings, as she can become stressed with big changes. She is good to catch, handle, groom and for the vet and farrier. She gets on well with others, but tends to be higher up in the pecking order in a herd. She is currently living out with a rug and shelter, but will come into a stable as part of a routine, and with other horses around her. She requires a home where she can have access to all year round turnout or where she will be turned out all day or all night. Edna does have a splint which doesn't affect her. She has the potential to make a ridden horse when she is old enough (4 years old or older) and we estimate that she will mature at around 15.2HH. If you can offer Edna a home, please apply online.

History

Edna came into Penny Farm as part of a large welfare case. She was found underweight and living in unsuitable conditions.
