Meet Daisy

Daisy's time in our care has been supported by Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), the official charity for the welfare of horses who have retired from racing. Daisy is a very sweet horse once she gets to know you, but she is a bit of a worrier so it does take time to gain her trust. Daisy will require an experienced and sympathetic rehomer who accepts they should not expect too much from her initially. It will take her time to relax in a new home with anything new introduced slowly and in the presence of a friend. Although Daisy will stable it is something that has to be introduced gradually with a friend in sight to give her confidence. Daisy is best suited to a small, quiet yard where not much changes as a large, busy yard will completely overwhelm her. Despite all of this, once Daisy feels secure and knows she can trust her handler she has shown she will really come out of her shell and be a real poppet. This lovely, kind mare should really blossom and allow her true personality to shine through.

Important stuff

Daisy can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Daisy is not suitable to be worked.

History

Daisy came into Hall Farm after her owners failing health was making it increasingly difficult to maintain an adequate level of care.
