Meet Rami

Rami is a sweet boy who is quite affectionate in his own way. He is a sensitive soul with a tendency to worry. Despite his age, Rami had virtually no handling in the past so everything has been a steep learning curve and quite stressful for him. Farrier visits were initially overwhelming for Rami but with a lot of work from his groom and our team of farriers he is learning to accept this. To provide consistency we recommend he has his feet picked out every day so this becomes his normal routine. As Rami was never stabled in the past he is better suited to a home where he can live out 24/7 or have access to an open stable where he can choose himself to be in or out. Rami does seem to enjoy human contact so he will require a calm, experienced handler to bring him out of his shell. A person with previous experience of the Arab sensitive nature or an interest in equine behaviour and the time to develop his trust would be ideal. Overall Rami is a genuine chap who wants to do his best and deserves to be given the chance.

Important stuff

Rami can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Rami is not suitable to be worked.

History

Rami was one of a large group of hoses who were at risk due to the failing health of their owner. They were all virtually unhandled.
