Meet Danny Zuko

Danny Zuko is ready to rehome as a non ridden companion. He came into Penny Farm completely unhandled and very scared of any human contact. His groom has worked incredibly hard to gain his trust and help increase his confidence in a variety of situations. Danny is a pony who very much trusts his handler, so his rehomer will need to be able to give him the time and patience to settle in to a new home and for him to get to know you. Once he has got to know you, he is the friendliest, kindest little pony. In a good routine Danny is good to catch, handle, groom and for the vet and farrier. He gets on very well with others, but due to being gelded late, he can only be turned out with geldings. He is currently living out unrugged with shelter on restricted grazing, but will happily come in to a stable for grazing management. Danny will stay on his own in a stable while another pony is taken out, but this would need to be introduced gradually in a new home. Danny requires his weight watching all year round, so would be best suited to a home with ponies of similar needs. He can be taken out for in-hand walks to help his weight, but cannot be lunged or long-reined. If you can offer Danny a home, please apply online.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Danny Zuko is not suitable to be worked.

History

Danny Zuko came into Penny Farm within a large group. He was entire and completely unhandled.
