Meet Tulip

Tulip is now looking for a home as a companion. Having been rescued in a mixed herd, Tulip could live with mares or geldings and, while her weight still needs to be monitored, she can have normal grazing. Tulip is happy to stable part time and could learn to be left for short periods once she has settled into her new home. Tulip is good with all of her basic handling skills and currently lives out 24/7. She does have mild sweet itch which will need to be managed with a sweet itch rug, baths as needed and soothing cream.

Important stuff

Tulip can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Tulip is not suitable to be worked.

History

Tulip came into the centre in 2024 after her owner was no longer able to care for her.
