Sunny

Meet Sunny

Sunny is very friendly young gelding who is looking for his new home as a youngster. Sunny was born here at the farm, and he has since grown up in a mixed herd of mares and other youngsters. By nature, Sunny is a sensible boy, is into everything and is always the first over to say hello and explore. Sunny knows all of his basic handling skills which were taught through positive reinforcement, though he does still need an occasional reminder about personal space! Sunny's perfect rehomer would be a calm and knowledgeable person who has had previous experience with young horses. Sunny would benefit from a yard where he can be turned out with other horses who would enjoy his lively and enthusiastic nature. He will need restricted grazing once mature and while Sunny could stable part time, this is something a rehomer would have to work on and introduce slowly once he is settled in at his new home. Sunny has the potential to be backed to be ridden in the future. Any rehomer who wanted to bring Sunny into work would have to have vet and Physio assessments before commencing work once he is older. He has a predicted height of around 13.2hh to 14hh and will have a weight limit of 15% of his adult bodyweight at BSC 3 which we predict to be around 9 stone. Due to his young age Sunny would need to be able to travel loose to his new home.
