Burghley is a pretty mare with a lovely temperament. She likes a consistent routine and can pull grumpy faces if she is not impressed, although this is just for show. Once settled in a regular routine she is a polite pony who is good to handle. Burghley mixes well with others and never causes any trouble. Burghley will need a home with restricted grazing, where her weight can be carefully monitored to keep her in good health. She is a delightful mare to have around and she will make a welcome addition to any yard.

Important stuff

Burghley can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Burghley is not suitable to be worked.

History

Burghley came into World Horse Welfare care as one of a very large group that were signed over to us as a welfare case in November 2013. She has spent many years out in a loan home and has only recently returned to us.

Hall Farm is located in the beautiful Norfolk countryside on a quiet lane less than ½ a mile from the A11. Just follow the brown tourist signs for World Horse Welfare between Attleborough and Thetford, NR16 2LP.
