Meet Ria
Lovely Ria is now looking for her new home as a non-ridden companion due to stifle issues in both hind legs, meaning she could not withstand work. Ria is a sweet girl who loves coming in for a pamper session and a cuddle from her groom. Ria is well mannered and respectful of her handler and is good for the vet and farrier. Ria does not like to be alone, so she will be looking for a home where she will have equine company at all times, and as she can get a little stressed if there is a lot of horses coming and going in the yard, she would prefer a quiet yard. Ria will need her grazing restricted in the summer months but she can take more in the winter. She will happily mix with both mares and geldings. If you think that Ria sounds like the mare for you please apply online.
Important stuff
Ria can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Ria is not suitable to be worked.
History
Ria arrived at Penny Farm as part of a group found living in unsuitable conditions. She has since been out to a home.
